    About the Opportunity

    Council’s Animal Control Officer contributes to providing a safe and healthy community by ensuring the provisions of the Companion Animals Act 1998 and Regulations are complied with.

    The role will give consideration to Council’s Companion Animals Policy, in balancing enforcement and education approaches to issues that may arise.

    Salary : Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award. This position is placed in Grade 8 of Council’s salary structure with a salary range of $1,170.

    12 to $1,345.64 per week . This position is a ten (10) day fortnight position working seven (7) hours per day. Commencement salary will depend upon qualifications, experience and competencies.
