Following research conducted by this major Government Department, they have found the potential to use Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to deliver efficiencies over a number of their business processes.

In order to design a program of work to deliver automation solutions at scale for targeted processes, they have started to deliver an RPA Opportunity Assessment (OA).

They will be building an RPA capability that includes business process optimisation in preparation for automation.

There are two streams of work that will be pursued :

Business Developed Applications (BDA’s), which primarily use Microsoft Office Macros, VBA, Access Databases and InfoPath forms .

Impending upgrades to Office 365 and Windows 10 means there's a requirement to remediate existing BDA’s to ensure they can function and deliver into the future.

Business Value Stream :

A qualified program of work and backlog is currently being developed, following the development of a large number of use cases suitable for Automation using RPA tools.

There will be a need for Process Mapping, process optimisation and solution design for new use cases. That will also require a re-prioritisation of the backlog to deliver the best value to the organisation.

They wish to develop processes, artefacts and practices that support the building of this capability, and seek an experienced business analyst with skills at process mapping and business process optimisation .

Requirements :

  • Works with stakeholders to clearly understand and identify the core business issues and outcomes required to improve business performance
  • Researches and analyses the current state to best interpret the business problems
  • Utilises business improvement, innovation and design expertise to create opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation
  • Assesses costs, risks and potential benefits of the new approaches
  • Creates future state design documentation to clearly articulate improvements to business operations, services and products
  • Defines and develops change strategy
  • Contributes to organisational capability development and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Australian Citizenship
  • Ability to physically work in Melbourne .
  • Engagement length :

  • 6 months with two 6 month extension options .
