About the role
Comdain continues to grow its portfolio of utility clients. With this growth comes the opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager with a Capital Works Projects & Programs experience within the Water Utilities sector to join our Engineering & Major Projects team in Epping (VIC).
Offered on a Permanent, Full-Time basis, this position is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.
Your duties will include but are not limited to :
Work closely with strategic partners to build strong relationships to support growthOverseeing mobilisation, delivery and closure of all Projects and ProgramsOversee the team in ensuring that skill requirements are met through on-going workforce planning and staff development programsOptimisation of commercial and operational outcomes.
Review and analyse production, quality control, maintenance, and operations reportsSupport the Pre-Contracts Manager with the tender processes and assign the appropriate Delivery personnel required for tendersCoordinate with Resource Managers (internal and external) for the commitment / allocation of resources (people, plant, equipment, procurement, subcontractors, suppliers) to meet the program Managing / monitoring progress / performance against safety, time, cost and quality targets and adjusting to achieve successful outcomes including monthly forecasting of time and cost outcomes at project completion
What do you bring?
The successful candidate will possess sound knowledge of the Australian & Victorian Water Utility markets and well-developed leadership skills with initiative and innovative thinking behind identifying and acting on opportunities for optimising project delivery as well as :
Experience in simultaneous delivery of Capital Works Projects & Programs within the Water Utility sectorPrior experience in managing a large, multi-disciplinary teamStrong Commercial acumen including financial and analytical skills in identifying and acting on commercial drivers and risksWell-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, develop and manage multi-disciplinary teamsTertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is essentialPost graduate studies in Project Management and / or Business Management are advantageous
