    The Role

    We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical and InstrumentationEngineer to join our operations in Portland. This role will join a high performing team, delivering engineeringservices across a portfolio of brownfield projects for a global aluminiumcompany.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to further your knowledge of the aluminiumindustry whilst having the opportunity to work on a client site.

    Key responsibilities will include :

  • Preparing engineering designs, equipment specifications, data sheets,lists and calculations;
  • Delivering to expectation across various multi-discipline brownfieldprojects;
  • Help to deliver leading practices improving plant profitability, safetyand environmental performance
  • Prepare procurement requisitions for electrical and instrumentation equipmentand assess vendor bids;
  • Engage directly with the client to ensure a successful delivery of theproject and continue to build the relationship;
  • Review vendor design documentation;
  • Prepare scopes of work;
  • Develop commissioning plans and procedures and participate incommissioning activities;
  • Cooperate with other engineering disciplines and designers to deliverprojects;
  • Participate in design review, constructability and safety reviewworkshops (HAZID / HAZOP.
  • To be considered for this role, you will have;
  • An Australian recognised bachelor’s Degree in Engineering;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing or productionenvironment;
  • The ability to live in Portland, Victoria;
  • Previous brownfield project experience;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously and be a good team player.
