Job description

This position is open to both Melbourne and Sydney applicants and will involve extensive domestic travel where required.

The Regional Stock Auditor is a field-based role responsible for planning and managing the JD Sports Stock Audit program by ensuring that all available resources are utilised to the full, to achieve the objective of an accurate and correct Stock Audit, i.

e. - human, money, materials and equipment.

You will work closely with stores teams to ensure correct Store Inventory Management and Cash Handling Processes are implemented across the business.

As the Regional Stock Auditor you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following duties :

  • Adapt, refine and modify department & group processes in line with Group Stock Audit
  • Identify any areas of weakness & recommend process improvements to drive future strategy and initiatives through the Stock Audit Program
  • Produce Stock Audit Reports per store and an overall Stock Audit Report for JD
  • Stocktake specific responsibilities :

  • Manage & maintain the stock take program across the group & supports with shrink analysis and stock accuracy reporting
  • Provide Training, guidance, motivate and organise the Store Management & staff, ensuring each member of the team is aware of their roles and responsibilities during the course of an Audit.
  • Provide coaching and support on all aspects of BOH Stock control (new and existing team members) when required.

  • Conduct on site investigations into the Audit result with the aid of the onsite administration available and prepare comprehensive Stock Audit reports into the result.
  • Reporting back to Audit Manager on findings from each Store visited by way of an Audit Compliance checklist, particularly in respect of the preparation of the Audit, IBTs, Faulty, Damaged and Soiled goods and any other infringements of Company Security and Health and Safety Policy
  • Liaising with the relevant Regional Profit Protection Manager by making recommendations to assist in any loss reduction after a store Audit
  • Maintaining a level of care ensuring that you properly secure all company issued equipment including computer laptop, printer, scanners etc.
  • Ensuring this property is not left vulnerable and insecure.

  • Profile

  • 3-5 years in a similar position
  • General retail Loss Prevention / Risk experience within an associated environment
  • Sound knowledge of store operational procedures and Inventory Management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to problem solve
  • Ability to develop and maintain cross functional relationships across all levels of the business
  • Intermediate Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
