As our Executive Manager, Workers Compensation Claims Underwritten you will lead the Workers’ Compensation claims business strategically and operationally, implementing practices that drive an achievement culture and a highly effective and efficient business.
In this newly created role, you will be responsible for improving culture and people engagement, delivering quality customer experience, financial results, regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities :
Drive a strong focus on customer, service delivery and efficiency ensuring internal and external customer needs are met as measured through Long Tail Claims service metrics
Implement and maintain effective practices to meet and exceed legal, regulatory & community obligations, as well as meeting or exceeding stakeholder expectations
Ensure effective and sustainable controls are in place to manage total controllable expenses and claims indemnity costs within risk appetite
Develop and strengthen key internal and external business relationships that results in targeted and sustainable growth and overall business performance
Contribute, as a member of the Long Tail Claims Leadership Team, to shaping and executing all elements of the business plan
Ensure IAG and its associated brands has a strong, reputable relationship with relevant regulators and a constructive voice in terms of the future of the schemes
Skills & Experience
Previous experience working within and managing teams supporting personal injury and / or long tail claims portfolios
Knowledge of workers comp claims and operations along with deep knowledge of emerging trends
Substantial operations experience at a management level, with demonstrated knowledge and leadership skills in all aspects of driving operating efficiency and reducing operating cost bases
Experience in leading and running large, complex, corporate operations
Strong commercial and financial acumen
Proven track record of implementing organisation wide performance metrics measuring progress with the appropriate operating model
Strong leadership skills through change - the ability to achieve through others
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and change course as required
Extensive planning, implementation and people management
Extensive experience in successfully interacting with and influencing senior stakeholders
Ability balance the drive for improvement with recognition of stakeholder needs and external regulators
