    About the role

    We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project / State Construction Manager to join our National Construction and Fit-out team within Supermarkets.

    Reporting to the General Manager - Construction and Fit-out, your role will be to lead and manage the WA / SA / NT Construction & Fit-Out Team and facilitate the successful delivery of construction projects (new builds and renewals).

    What you’ll do :

  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary Projects and Project Teams, Building Contractors and specialist Subcontractors in completing complex building and services projects to Cost, Time, Quality and Safety Objectives
  • Undertake Projects in operational or Live environments ensuring minimal impact / disruption on the stores activities and customer experience
  • Prepare contract documentation involving all aspects of standard contracts, specifications, programming and drawing; and negotiate required outcomes
  • Provide construction and design solutions to issues encountered on construction projects
  • Apply your knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and the relevant Australian Standards and comply with all governing authority requirements

  • You will have :

  • Strong experience in construction project management
  • Recent experience completing projects within live environments
  • Demonstrated strong leadership qualities
  • Relevant Construction qualification (or equivalent)
  • An ability to manage multi-disciplinary project teams, technical staff and a variety of contractors across multiple projects
  • Experience in contract documentation involving all aspects of standard contracts, specifications, programming and drawing
  • A high level of communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid decision making skills and a strong sense of urgency
  • Familiarity with MS Office and MS Project
