    We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Team Leader Mains Renewal to join our Capital Delivery team in VIC-Thomastown on a Permanent Position.

    Reporting to the Field Supervisor, you will play a key role in technical execution of projects, asset recording and asset safety of network areas to ensure a safe supply of gas to the customer and is responsible and accountable for all aspects associated with extending, renewing and maintaining security of supply.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the activities of a direct labour team
  • The safe and timely delivery of the Mains Renewal program, alterations to mains, meters and general repair work to underground gas pipelines and other relevant Network Assets (e.
  • g. regulators and meters etc.)

  • Ensure that all work is in compliance with APA policies and procedures, regulatory obligations and relevant codes and standards.
  • Provide advice where technical solutions are required to overcome difficult or unique situations
  • About You

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a similar role is essential
  • Broad understanding of gas network operations procedures and gas codes and standards
  • An understanding of materials and mechanical fittings
  • A practical background of mechanical piping and excavation work
  • Certificate 3 In Gas Supply
