We have an excitingopportunity for you to join the Cargill Agriculture Supply Chain (CASC)GrainOperations team as a Regional Operations Assistant for our grain storage andhandling facilities at Grong Grong.

Reporting to the RegionalOperations Manager, this is a busy, hands -on permanent role, you will beresponsible for leading bunker operations and implementing safe and efficientwork practices acrossall areas of the operations onsite.

You will have come froman operations background and confident of delivering training and contribute tomaintaining a high level of safety, inventory management control andoperational efficiency at all times.

This role is intended to be 80%execution and 20% planning and scheduling.

Keyresponsibilities will include, but not limited to :

  • Leading Bunkeroperations and work with site staff in the efficient and safe execution of allaspects of site operations involved whilst receiving, storing and out-turningproduct from site;
  • Providing training andsupervision to staff and contractors in key activities onsite including but notlimited to tarping, General Bunker Operations, plant operations including DOGS& Stackers, Elevators and Conveyors, Silos, Front End Loaders, SiteVehicles grain sampling and weighing equipment etc.
  • Leading theexecution of risk management systems and programs for both EH&S & FSQRand inventory management programs at sites including but not limited to SafetyPrograms, bunker inspection and tarp management, waste grain identification,maintaining and recording, pest management and cut off and weigh up programs.
  • Taking an active rolewith the maintenance & reliability program for the sites to ensure we canattend to commercial-logistic volume expectations, optimizing plant equipmentcapacities and availability by proactive maintenance program with reliabilityculture in place ensuring that we are maintaining safe and efficient assets.
  • In conjunction with theSite Supervisor assist with operational efficiency planning and review includingdeveloping rosters, Review Master Schedules and planning outturns, input ofdata into model elevator review and discuss reporting, review and discuss ofmonthly profit and Loss reports.
  • Assist in siteoperation on capital management (CAPEX), including base level improvementsprojects following standardized specifications and policies.

  • With a background in Agriculture / SupplyChain / Grain operations you will bring your proven operational skills andexperience;
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience;
  • Ability to supervise Contractors and administer operational training on Standard Operating Procedures (WI);
  • Ability to drive and promote a safety culture which aligns with Cargill’s values;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;
  • An ability to work in a changing work environment focused on reliability and quality;
  • Ability to work in a team environment and travel to the other sites as required;
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when needed to meet customer requirements;
  • MotorVehicle License is mandatory;
  • Minimum Secondary School qualifications (preferred);
  • ConfinedSpace certificate (preferred);
  • First Aidcertificate (Min level 2) (preferred);
  • Front end loader license (preferred);
  • Fumigation certificate(preferred);
