What does the job look like?

In this key role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the transport & warehouse distribution centre's day-to-day operations for the afternoon / evening shift.

Assisting to manage a team of warehouse, subcontractor and company drivers, you will maintain a high level of safety across the operation, deliver outstanding customer service and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Key areas :

  • Participate and commit to Safety Standards and COR requirements at all times
  • Ensure the performance of the operational team meets or exceeds expectation
  • Facilitate continuous improvement to warehouse operations
  • Arrange rostering and labour allocation across your shifts to meet operational plan
  • Ensure a clean warehouse and vehicles are kept in accordance with site HACCP regulations
  • Deliver and promote exceptional customer service every day

    To be successful in this role, you have a firm but fair approach to your leadership style, along with being a great people leader who will not shy away from managing complex situations.

    You are comfortable having difficult conversations and can think on your feet to solve problems quickly and efficiently. You can demonstrate :

  • Commitment to Linfox safety culture and values
  • 5+ years leadership experience in an FMCG warehouse & transport environment
  • Can handle a faced paced and often changing environment and display a resilient nature
  • Working knowledge of a WMS and RF units, paperless and voice preferred
  • Proven record of planning and scheduling to achieve DIFOT
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • A customer service focus in how you operate
  • High level of computer literacy, particularly SAP and MS office suite
