Manning Base Hospital
Manning Hospital is a Rural Referral Hospital that services Greater Taree, the Great Lakes Region and Gloucester for surgery, general medicine, critical care, obstetrics, paediatrics, emergency, oncology, palliative care, rehabilitation, acute renal dialysis, high dependency and mental health.
The hospital itself has 160 beds, a 4 bed ICU / HDU and 6 bed Cardiac Care Unit. There is an Emergency Department that services approximately 25,000 presentations per year, and medical, surgical and children’s wards.
There is a co-located mental health unit and a community health unit. The nearest tertiary referral hospital (The John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle), is 2 hours by road or 30 minutes by helicopter.
The Medical Ward at Manning Base Hospital caters for a wide range of medical conditions and has an affiliation with the hospital's Renal Unit.

To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be : an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia.
If you currently hold a temporary visa that allows you to live and work in Australia you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
