Position Summary

Western Health's Central Access Unit (CAU) improves access to WH Community programs by managing intake and referral processing for patients at a single point of entry.

The Central Access Unit is increasing the clerical team to to support additional clinical services within the division.

We currently have a number of clerical support permanent part time vacancies. The CAU Clerical positions assists in the clerical processing and appointment scheduling for patients referred to Western Health's community programs.

This role is required to work across a range of days, with varying start and finish times to meet the unit's roster requirements.

This roster profile may include am / pm and weekend shifts, all applicants will be required to rotate through this roster profile.

To be successful in this Role you

  • Are adaptable to work well as part of the team environment where the needs of the unit are constantly changing and staff are required to adapt to these requirements.
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Have a consultative style and ability to build rapport with key stakeholders.
  • Experience in delivering results in specified timeframes.
  • A sound knowledge in a wide range of Health related IT applications utilised within the WH, including IPM, Cerner & Bossnet or a capacity and willingness to learn.
  • The flexibility and capacity to work additional shifts to cover leave requirements.
