Purpose of role :

Based at Blackmores’ new manufacturing facility in Braeside, the scope of this role includes all areas related to product quality such as : support to new product development, changes to existing products, specification and quantified by input approval, stability, approval and product improvement.

Participate and co-ordinate product quality activities, ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements in all target markets as well as Blackmores Group Quality Standards, leading to internal and external consumer satisfaction.

In addition, this role will also be the Site Microbiologist supporting and providing advice on microbiological related matters, e.

g. material, product and environmental monitoring, micro related OOS / OOT results investigation. Previous experience in microbiology is required.

  • Responsibilities include :

  • Review and approve product specification and quantified by input reports for new and existing products ensuring regulatory compliance and the good quality of Blackmores Group products.
  • Co-ordinate and execute Product Change Control, ensuring products are set up correctly, including smooth transition of changes with no impact to the supply chain or product release process.
  • Assess and allocate shelf life to products, aligning quality considerations and business needs.
  • Provide guidance on microbiological related matters such as raw material, finished product and environmental monitoring related microbiological OOT / OOS results.
  • Assist in other tasks and programs within the Product Quality Team as required (such as : Raw material specification reviews, Product Quality Reviews, Quality Improvements).
  • Who are you?

  • Bachelor degree / Tertiary Education in relevant scientific field, including Microbiology.
  • 5 years’ experience in a regulated GMP manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP and product quality standards appropriate for Blackmores Group products.
