We require an experienced Case Manager with skills in providing front line support to families who are in the child protection system.
You will work alongside parents to support and coach them to develop a family environment that is nurturing and supports their children to thrive within their home.
These roles involve case work, home visiting, coaching parents during family time visits, psychoeducation, advocating, connecting parents with specialist services and community resources as well as preparing reports for DCJ and the Children’s Court.
Minimum Requirements :
University qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Welfare / Community Services or related degree
Demonstrated ability to engage families and build relationships of trust and cooperation to promote the change process
Working knowledge of issues and experience in working with children and families who are experiencing domestic violence, parental drug or alcohol misuse, parenting skills, child behaviour management, learning difficulties, parental mental health and / or lack of a supportive network.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Current Working with Children Check and NSW or National Driver’s Licence
