What You’ll do (the role)


Integral daily management of the Lightsource bp large-scale solar plants in Australia, ensuring best practice for safety, quality and environmental performance, whilst enhancing the overall returns and value of each project and complying with all of the applicable contractual agreements.

Duties and Responsiblities

General management requirements

  • Contribute to develop policies, processes and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural / legislative and contract requirements are fulfilled
  • Maximize total return for each asset through the analysis of system efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improved performance
  • Provide assistance in due diligence process, including review of financial and operational assumptions.
  • Daily Asset Management operation

  • Manage day to day operations of the Asset Management organization providing guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards
  • Review all SPV contracts for obligations SPV and other contract party respectively, including insurance.
  • Performance and monitoring

  • Performance review of the sites as well as analysis of potential optimisation projects / actions
  • Regular review of site performance on monitoring platform
  • Monitor and control all financial budgets
  • Monthly review of operational and financial KPIs, identification of improvement opportunities
  • Support Financial controller with analysis of P&L variance and CF Forecast and Solar plants Budget
  • Preparation of stakeholders reporting
  • Contract management

  • Oversee main contractors (including EPC and O&M) to ensure compliance with relevant obligations
  • Coordinate with Technical department PAC-IAE-FAC
  • Negotiate new O&M contracts from selected contractors. Monitor and influence all maintenance and operations and maintenance activities for the assets
  • Maintain and grow good relations with all contract parties. Manage and co-ordinate potential contract modifications.
  • Negotiate and communicate with all parties in the process of acquiring or disposing of assets to ensure that the best possible agreements financially are settled.
  • Overall management the energy sales done by Energy sales Management team and approve and monitor all payments of the plant.
  • Accounting an A / P

  • Invoice collection sign off
  • Recommendation on required unbudgeted
  • Assist Energy Sales team with FIT / ROC and market electricity revenue collection
  • Compliance

  • Facilitate hand-off from project management to operational management
  • Solar Companies project documentation management
  • Develop compliance calendar, manage and monitor compliance in all contracts and activities
  • Review all SPV contracts for obligations SPV and other contract party respectively, including insurance.
  • Receive notices under the agreements
  • Who we’re looking for


  • Development and assets management experience in solar PV and wind energy in international and global environment.
  • Experience

  • 3 years’ experience in the development, asset management or operation of renewable portfolios is essential
  • The ideal candidate worked for financial investors active in the renewable space internationally, and IPP or a vertically integrated developer
