The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure is looking to establish a pool of motivated individuals with experience in category management and procurement.
Successful candidates will be placed in the pool for a period of 12 months and may be appointed as opportunities for up to 12 months in duration arise.

The Category Manager will provide procurement and management support to the Goods and Services Procurement team. Through the development and maintenance of stakeholder relationships, and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, the role will work across the procurement portfolio to support the strategic objectives of the procurement program.
The role is responsible for providing procurement expertise to support the delivery of strategic objectives on behalf of Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) / stakeholders and provide procurement advice to enable the delivery of goods and services procurements.
The Category Manager will also provide support to stakeholders regarding procurement policies, procedures, frameworks and templates relating to Goods and Services activities.
Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline and / or Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) will be well regarded.
This role is classified as a position of trust and will be subjected to a satisfactory criminal history record check in line with departmental policies and procedures.
Some out of hours and weekend work may be required.
