You will be an essential part of the team responsible for credit risk management and ensuring better risk outcomes for the infrastructure portfolio of clients within Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) You will use your experience to ensure authorised frameworks and systems are effectively used in the management of risk / credit decisions so as to achieve an optimum outcome for the Group.

IB&M is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services.
This role forms an integral part of the Risk Management, Institutional Corporate Credit Risk is a division within IB&M Risk which specifically services the IB&M business in Australia and globally.
On any given day you will :
Manage a portfolio of IB&M Infrastructure clients, including origination, periodic credit and rating reviews, exposure monitoring and breach reporting.
Contribute to the development and application of IB&M’s Three Lines of Accountability model.Work as part of deal teams to analyse clients, prepare credit submissions and provide risk recommendations.
This will include providing guidance on deal structuring, rating assessments, terms and conditions, approval processes and policies.
Ensure alignment to governance frameworks & policies as well as preparation and review of portfolio and industry reporting.
Identify, monitor and escalate any credit deterioration across the portfolio. , understanding the impact of industry issues and change in internal / external credit environments.
Provide specialist advice and input at various credit and business forums.Promote risk understanding and accountability across supported business units.
Proactively identify and manage operational and compliance risks and drive improvements to policies and systems
We’re interested in hearing from people who have :
Deep experience in institutional banking with credit risk exposure.Knowledge and experience in Infrastructure and / or Real EstateThe ability to understand lending structures and analyse the credit, product and operational risks on specific transactionsAptitude in financial modelling, together with strong analytical skills.
Experience in exercising a meaningful credit approval delegation.Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking and decisive.
