The Carramar Community Mental Health Team provides a range of clinical services to a defined population including emergency assessment, crisis intervention, assertive care, clinical support, psychological therapies, Care Coordination and other interventions.
Consumers move between different functions of the team as their needs change.
The incumbent will provide evidenced based care, developing clinical skills while keeping up to date with professional standards of practice and quality management initiatives consistent with organisational policies.
They will work appropriately and in a culturally respectful way with Mental Health Consumers, their families and care providers where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds and expectations of clients.
The incumbent will recognise and respond to clinical deterioration or other incidents.
This is a part-time vacancy, working 60.8 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
Applicants must be Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing / Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds a current practicing certificate.
Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
