About the Care Home
Our modern Berwick care home set in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, in Narre Warren, 45 minutes from Melbourne's CBD and close to the Lysterfield Lake and Wilson Botanical Gardens.
Accessible by public transport, nearby freeways and plenty of parking, the home consists of 120 beds, across respite, residential care and dementia support.
Our primary is goal is placing our focus on person centered care and the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, your genuine passion for helping others and making a difference to our resident’s quality of life will be evident in everything you do, as will your ability to empathise and put yourself in their shoes.
Manage a care team to deliver the highest quality, person-first, care to our residents Preparation of high-quality care plans and assessmentsMaintaining quality care documentationEnsure safe medication administration, best practice wound care and clinical support for our residents, in line with resident needs and legislative requirementsSupporting the CCM with the management and completion of ACFI assessments Actively engaging in handovers with the Clinical Care Team to ensure continuity of care across shiftsAdhering to all relevant legislative requirements and quality guidelines
Skills and Experience
Registration with AHPRA as a Div 1 Registered Nurse EssentialMinimum 2 3 years’ experience working within the aged care or similar sectorThe ability to work as part of a tight knit team and delegate effectivelyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA strong understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and OutcomesMust have a current national police certificate or be willing to complete a criminal history check
This is a Permanent position offering between $52,778.96 - $86,805.68 full time equivalent (subject to experience).
