1. Safety & Environment

  • Take a pro-active interest in safety matters
  • Perform monthly safety observation rounds
  • Sell the Vopak safety standards to stakeholders
  • Take ownership of any Management of Change process related to safety matters
  • Have a solid understanding of the Vopak Fundamentals
  • Understand and support the THA requirements
  • Ensuring the prevention of pollution
  • Preventing harm to the environment
  • Comply with applicable environmental regulations
  • Improving the sustainability of the organisation by reducing energy usage and waste production
  • Continuously striving to identify and implement environmental & sustainability initiatives
  • 2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Develop & maintain strong working relationships, with internal customers and management
  • Facilitate regular meetings between internal customers and vendors
  • Measure and monitor vendors service and delivery performance
  • Highlight governance & compliance exceptions to internal customer
  • Identify sourcing risks and ensure mitigating strategies are in place
  • Put a correct process in place for timely and effective issue resolution
  • Ensure that a clear and open internal communication strategy is in place
  • 3. Vendor Relationship Management

  • Develop & maintain strong working relationships with key vendors
  • Update Market / spend category assessments
  • Conduct regular review meeting s& terminal visits
  • Define and establish market strategies
  • Ensure clear an open external communication strategy is in place
  • 4. Commercial Management

  • Develop & maintain sound commercial agreements between Vopak & external parties
  • Assist with the developing contract strategies
  • Ensure that commercial agreements are current and they are meeting KPIs
  • Conduct Supply risk assessment for key spend categories
  • Ensure that Risk mitigation strategies are in place
  • Negotiate effective commercial agreements with key vendors
  • Compliance with Vopak standard Policies, terms and conditions
  • Identify and manage Supply Risks
  • 5. Order and Product Flow Management

  • Ensure Procurement KPIs are met
  • Maintain Procurement KPI & exception reports
  • Efficient & effective procure to pay process in place
  • Ensure Service delivery expectations are met
  • Identify continuous process improvement opportunities
  • Run Tenders including electronic e-bids
  • Conduct RFI processes and evaluate Tender bids
  • 6. Financial Performance

  • Manage budget costs responsibly and maximise value delivery through strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Monitor and record procurement savings initiatives (identified, in progress & implemented via TPP)
  • Lead and participate in key sourcing initiatives
  • Achieve budgeted financial performance
  • Create value for Vopak through leading / participating in strategic sourcing initiatives
  • 7. Personal / Team Development

  • The development of personal and functional competencies and relevant knowledge
  • Maintain Training schedules for the team
  • Provide mentoring / coaching to the team
  • Undertake personal development opportunities (e.g. seminars, workshops)
  • Develop personal competencies
  • Build team competencies & develop market knowledge
  • Strictly adhere to defined policies and procedures
