  • The Opportunity

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Improvement Manager to part of our Commercial & Supply Chain team within Sydney Trains.

    This position plays a key role in being accountable for the identification and development of business opportunities within allocated Divisions including the coordination of functional SME’s to achieve the desired outcome.

  • Reporting to the Associate Director Commercial; your key responsibilities are but not limited to;
  • Engage with other Maintenance divisions to provide commercial advice and support to improve commercial outcomes.
  • Work with Contracts Delivery Managers to ensure maintenance contracts are providing maximum benefits to Sydney Trains
  • Work with Managers and drive commercial support services to the other Maintenance divisions to ensure promotion of a commercially efficient culture.
  • Deployment of best practice commercial management strategies across Maintenance Directorate.
  • Supervise and coach staff, overseeing work completed, building the skills required to develop internal expertise and ensuring that staff are adequately resourced to perform
  • We are looking for a Commercial Improvement Manager who has proven commercial business experience including prime accountability in the delivery of commercial strategy along with demonstrated planning, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with moderate complexity and guide and / or coach others in the resolution of problems.

    CPA membership or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
