About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Quantitative Research expert, to join the Group Audience Insights team, and lead the conduct of our quantitative research solutions, and the innovation and evolution of our offering; including the leadership of two team members.
As Head of Quantitative Research, you will play a pivotal role in delivering valuable insight to internal stakeholders to drive audience growth, drawing on your strong foundation in quantitative research techniques and practices combined with exposure to, and an understanding of the new approaches, datasets and tools now available to researchers.
Nine’s audience insights team strives for innovation & agility in meeting the demands of the changing media landscape and getting ahead of the curve in all aspects of audience & subscriptions insights.
To be successful in this role, you will be;
Hands-on leader with a true passion for being on the tools, taking ownership of end-to-end projects to deliver insights that support key business decisions
Senior influencer and trusted authority in the Quantitative Research space, with proven experience working with c-suite executives in marketing, digital product and/or content development teams
Experienced people manager, with passion for mentoring & coaching people, and demonstrated history of developing successful business relationships (internal/external)
About the team
The Group Audience Insights team is responsible for delivering a world-class audience insights capability, to generate actionable insights that drive growth for Nine’s subscriptions and ad supported products and experiences. The team supports a wide range of internal teams including (but not limited to); Digital Product, Editorial, Marketing and Programming.
Consisting of 8 quantitative and qualitative researchers, the team manages the audience insights infrastructure and tooling for the Nine business, such as audience panels and knowledge platforms.
Our ideal candidate will have the following expertise across min 7+ years;
- Extensive experience designing and conducting quantitative research studies with proven outcomes that support senior stakeholder decision making
Expert knowledge and experience using SPSS or Q and ability to conduct statistical analysis such as Key Driver Analysis, Factor Analysis and Cluster Analysis
Ability to clearly distill data and information into actionable insights for the business and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Insights or research agency background (preferred)
People leadership, managing, coaching and developing people/agencies
