The Export Reform & Traceability Taskforce is responsible for working with stakeholders to design, develop and implement an improved agricultural export legislation framework prior to 1 April 2021 when most of the legislation ceases to be law.
This work is being informed by extensive internal and external stakeholder engagement (including with trading partners).
The legislation is critical to Australia's economy; it underpins the export certificates provided by the department to accompany exported goods, which assures importing countries that their import conditions have been met - and is a high priority for the department.
The legislative reform is comprehensive and has been the subject of extensive consultation already.
As a Policy and Project Officer in the Export Reform and Traceability Taskforce, your duties may include, but are not limited to :
Please note that this recruitment process will be used to fill an existing vacancy within the Legislative Development Team but may also be used to fill future vacancies in the Taskforce where the duties are of a similar nature.
The merit pool established through this selection process is valid for a period of twelve months from the date the vacancy was advertised in the Gazette.
