The Company is looking for a Sous Chef to prepare and cook quality food and manage the kitchen of their beautiful restaurant located in Mclaren Vale,SA.
You will be responsible include but not limited to,
Produce high quality dishes that follow up the established menu standards, as well as to client’s requirements.
Provide a high level of customer service.
Assist the Head Chef in plan menus,monitoring and maintaining wage costs and budgets.
Assist the Head Chef in monitoring and maintaining stock ordering, control and budgets.
Train the auxiliary kitchen staff in order to provide best results in minimum time and using at the maximum the available resources.
Work positively and cooperatively with all team members.
Maintain order and discipline in the kitchen during working hours.
Ensure hygiene and food safety standards are met in all stages of food preparation, starting with the ingredients and ending with the finished dish.
Responsible for prevention of unsafe work practices or incidents.
Ensure that the professional equipment is in good condition and report any repair requirements immediately to avoid breakdowns.
Ensure that all items are secured and report immediately any concerns or breach of policy.
In return we offer a salary range of $54,000-$ 60,000 per annum + superannuation (depending on experience).
