The role

Our friendly Private Client Services team cover a range of practice areas including wills and estates, conveyancing, commercial litigation and other business services law.

This team are now seeking a Paralegal / Administration Assistant , based in our Dalby team, on a permanent full time basis.

Your responsibilities

  • Assist solicitors with the day-to-day operations of files / client management
  • Be the first point of contact for clients and answer clients’ enquiries
  • Prepare matters for conference and hearing including preparation of court documents, legal documents and general correspondence
  • Drafting briefs and documents with excellent attention to detail
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally and external to the organisation
  • Manage complex databases of information
  • Devise systems to support information retention and accessibility
  • Providing administrative support to members of the legal teams
  • Typing, amending and production of documents
  • Diary and travel management
  • Handling telephone enquiries, and liaising with clients with the utmost in professionalism
  • General file management and administration
  • Processing of account requests, banking and archiving
  • Your skills

  • Demonstrated experience as a paralegal or legal secretary
  • Experience across wills and estates or any form of litigation are highly advantageous, but not essential for success
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Client service oriented, with strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve targets
  • A proactive, self starter, with the ability to take initiative to assist where needed
  • Strong MS Office skills
