About the role

This role will lead and perform the design and engineering function for projects and is accountable to the Head of Engineering.

It is responsible for managing the timely delivery of the design, procurement, construction and commissioning documentation as related to projects.

  • Ensure a common approach to design templates, interface management, design deliverables, reporting and delivery program management;
  • Ensure that all necessary reviews, verifications and validations are planned and conducted, and the outcomes of these are incorporated into the design;
  • Participate in design review meetings and close out design issues with reviewers in a timely manner

    Provide all necessary support to the procurement, construction and commissioning teams

    About You

    Degree qualification to Bachelor status in engineering

    10 years+ experience in the industry (in infrastructure, technology or related market verticals)

    Strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally

    Excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands
