  • The Sales Account Manager’s primary responsibility, following consultation with management, is to drive the business and act as the salesperson for the territory.
  • In addition, develops, implements and manages an assigned sales territory for the company’s oncology and neuro products;
  • using the company sales processes and methodology. Responsibilities -

  • Develops a targeted account list, sales, backlog and other forecasts to actively promote, present and demonstrate company products to customers and coordinates orders and prospects with the company’s order management, accounting and marketing personnel.
  • Reviews sales forecasts with the company’s management and, where appropriate revise.
  • Achieves unit sales of the products set forth in the sales quota, targets or forecasts.
  • Follows relationship-selling, partnering and managing of accounts
  • Calls on / establishes relationships with resource referrals (hospitals, clinics, physicians, etc.).
  • Promotes / sells / secures orders from existing customers.
  • Demonstrates products and services and assists in the selection of those best suited to customer’s needs.
  • Familiarizes established accounts with new products, services and developments (market penetration).
  • Develops / maintains close professional working relationships with finance, field service, technical services, marketing and administration.
  • Sells and supports other Elekta’s products as may be specified from time to time.
  • Prepares and implements price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates and service obligations in accordance with company policies.
  • Uses only company forms or contracts unless approved in writing in advance by the company.
  • Follows sales and marketing policies and procedures regarding the collection of payments, processing customer orders and delivery of quotations and products to customers.
  • Maintains a current listing of all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory. All such records shall be the property of the company and shall be regarded as Company Confidential records.
  • Submits monthly reports detailing activities, sales, volumes and expenses.
  • Investigates and expedites warranty claims and complaints in accordance with company policies.
  • Conducts follow-up service calls to all accounts to ensure satisfaction with all agreements reached during sales approach.
  • Investigates policies and notifies company of competitive products, promotional sales selling techniques, pricing, warranties and marketing policies.
  • Helps to ensure the success of the consumer sales / marketing plan through sales efforts directed toward dealers, facilities, organizations, professional clientele and end users.
  • Conducts all business transactions in a manner that upholds the high ethical standards of the company.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by senior management.
  • Incorporates Elekta Values and quality systems into all department functions and responsibilities.
  • Up to 60% travel expected Authorities - Authorization of quotations, orders etc. within the authorization matrix Prepare and manage local forecast and plans Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action Relevant Knowledge, skills and competencies - Educated to degree standard with evidence of continued personal development during career history.
  • Extensive sales experience gained within a business to business environment arena focused on maximizing existing client spend and / or
  • Exposure to a consultative solution selling approach.
  • Preferred exposure to Oncology practice in ANZ and / or 3 years’ experience with Elekta technology
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills coupled with persuasive personal style ideally gained in an existing client account business environment.
  • Well developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Confident, articulate and flexible, focused on achieving financial and personal goals.
  • Demonstrated initiative (self-starter).
  • Flexible style ( do whatever it takes and win-win approach).
  • Ability to travel domestically (approximately 50% with overnight stays) and some International travel. ELEKTA IDENTIFIED COMPETENCIES - Communicates effectively.
