In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance planning, delivery of maintenance and minor project activities for three of our facilities including the Worona Treatment Plant, Illawarra Water Treatment Plant and the Gerringong Gerroa Sewerage Scheme.

You are a hands on leader who enjoys providing support and guidance to team members, while also leading by example. You are highly organised, a strong communicator and you take pride in the level of service that you provide.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Ensure that each site asset register is accurate and up-to-date
  • Carry out analysis and reporting of asset / maintenance performance using the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Oversee the condition monitoring and assessment program for each site’s assets
  • Support the capital asset and replacement programs for each site
  • Advise on each plants continuous improvement and maintenance engineering projects
  • Participate in a range of asset management facilitated reviews (maintenance, RAM, RCFA, critical spares, capital) and ensure that improvements are implemented and follow up items are properly addressed
  • Lead and complete minor projects (in collaboration with the Projects Supervisor) under the direction of the Operations Manager
  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Asset Management and Operations Teams to achieve effective and holistic asset engineering outcomes
  • Support the Operations Supervisors / Manager in producing high-quality Drinking Water and Wastewater that consistently meets or exceeds standards and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure that all Maintenance activities minimise environmental, public health and WHS impacts.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets, monitoring and review
  • Perform site supervisor duties at all sites as required
  • Participate in an on-call Supervisor roster to provide support to Operations Teams.
  • Qualifications

    To be considered for this role, you must have :

  • Tertiary or trades qualification in mechanical, electrical or process discipline
  • Completion of Water and / or Wastewater Treatment Course or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with computerised maintenance management systems
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in asset management or Water / Wastewater operations / maintenance role
  • Working knowledge of chemical, mechanical and electrical equipment and associated maintenance type tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of SHEQ management systems
  • Team leadership experience
  • Safety focused
  • Live less than 1.5 hours travel to all sites
