The successful applicant will lead and manage Middle Years Student Services Years 7 to 9, with a 0.4-0.6FTE teaching load in your qualified area.

Please note : this role and allocation may change subject to organisational need.

Perth Modern School is looking for a highly effective leader with outstanding interpersonal skills who is proactive in ensuring that the Middle Years students (Years 7 to 9) are supported in their personal and academic endeavours.

The Middle Years Manager works alongside the Deputy Principal Student Services to ensure a quality learning environment for students and assist teachers and administration in the management of student welfare.

The school has a supportive culture where all members are valued and treated with respect. The Middle Years Manager will promote whole school values and a positive school culture for the Middle Years.

They will manage and regulate polices relevant to the middle year students. Additionally, the successful applicant will be required to support and grow the schools Advocacy program, House and Reward systems and manage transition of incoming students.

This may include whole school events, parent information nights for relevant year groups, and school camps.

The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal skills an understanding of cultural approaches to education, and the capacity to communicate effectively with teachers, parents and students, while monitoring processes for Students at Educational Risk (SAER).

Perth Modern School is Western Australia's only fully academically selective school for gifted students in Years 7 to 12.
