As the Events Executive your responsibility is to be successful at handling all catering events and groups involving up to 20 rooms.
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Director of Events Management and Events Manager, you must maximise business opportunities and ensures effective communication with clients, as well as efficient co-
ordination among internal departments.
In this role you will :
Handle events (excluding Social Events) from the inquiry stage up until execution of the event.
Liaises with event organizer to finalize event details and provides professional advices on events set-up.
Liaises with various departments in the hotel for the smooth execution of events.
Ensures that payments (deposits / final payment) for groups / events are received in a timely manner.
Ensures Banquet Event Orders / Group Resumes are distributed in a timely manner to ensure various departments are across all requirements of the event / group.
Assists the Events Management team in achieving Hotel catering revenue goal by up-selling and effective space management.
Assists Director of Events Management to maintain up-to-date information and reports according to Events Management Manual.
Contributes ideas and feedback to Director of Events Management on new or existing contractors’ performance. Ensures high quality of services and supports are delivered to guests.

Experience in an event planning environment
Customer service, sales & marketing skills
Maintains close relationship and rapport with repeat clients.
Assists Sales or Convention Sales to solicit future business and communicates promptly to respective Sales person for action.
Ensures all the clients’ requests are properly handled and clients’ calls are returned as soon as possible.
Background working in a hotel is not necessary but helpful
