    The Position

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis in either our Brisbane or Perth office.

    Reporting to the Category Manager you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing & buying process. Working with both local and international suppliers, you will be required to monitor and report domestic and global market trends, negotiate and advise on price increases and the impact, including mitigation opportunities to offset price movements.

    Key Duties :

  • Prepare and run sourcing events including RFQ / RFP / RFI, online auction, collaborative sourcing, multi-event negotiations, etc.
  • Use e-tendering including E Reverse Auctions to ensure best market value.
  • Performing opportunity analysis to identify projects that will deliver significant hard and soft savings
  • Negotiate and manage supplier relationships at varying levels including supplier executives.
  • Build and support a portfolio of categories, specifically Food products and / or services
  • Conduct industry analysis supporting business stakeholders with a commercial understanding of the market place
  • Execute best sourcing procurement process
  • Support the delivery of a range of products / services maximising business profitability and service
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the relationship between all pricing levels versus market to make business pricing recommendations
  • The Person

  • Tertiary education is highly desirable, with a Procurement & Supply Chain focus : CIPS, IFPSM or AAPCM qualification an added advantage
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Intermediate / excellent level of MS Office including advanced excel Skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a positive relationship with business stakeholders
  • Procurement knowledge gained through category assistant or buying experience
