Job Description

This is a key role in Mott MacDonald’s Australian Energy business. You will be keen to collaborate openly across sectors and geographies to create value and opportunities in a range of different contexts, not only in the Energy market, exemplifying Mott MacDonald’s core tenet of connected thinking.

Key duties in this role are :

Leadership and management Assist in recruitment of specialist Renewables resources to form complementary team.

Manage those resources in respect of pipeline of work and day to day resourcing matters.

Business development and sales associated with Renewable Energy projects to create a pipeline of consultancy opportunities.

Liaise primarily with Project Developers in Wind and Solar but also other infrastructure developments deploying (and considering) Renewable Energy technologies.

Collaborate with other sectors

Technical scope

Lead the development and delivery of utility-scale wind and solar. Includes technical roles.

Lead developer clients through the development and procurement processes.

Scope and direct other professional activities (planning, environmental, general infrastructure, etc) associated with Renewable Energy projects.

Liaise with, and support (and lead, as required) Mott MacDonald global Energy teams and initiatives.

Projects / Workload that candidate will be involved in :

Utility-scale wind, solar and battery projects.

Lead assignments guiding clients through the development process from project origination through to project delivery and commissioning.

Support to Renewable Energy elements of projects being delivered by other Mott MacDonald sectors.

Support Renewable Energy projects elsewhere in APNA (and globally).

Candidate Specification

You will be a strong communicator with extensive experience in the Energy Sector, you will also need :

Degree qualified, CPEng (or equivalent). RPEQ-eligible.

Knowledge of, and familiarity and credibility with, Australian Renewable Energy clients.

Demonstrably familiar with the various Australian States' requirements, legislation and development routes.

Knowledge and working understanding of industry standard energy yield analysis techniques and tools.

Will have led the development and delivery of wind and solar projects.

Demonstrated track record of liaising with financiers and lenders on Renewable Energy projects.

Understanding of the impacts of introducing renewables into the Australian electricity networks.
