The Department of Communities brings together the services and functions of disability services, child protection and family support, housing, community initiatives and regional services reform.
with staff in attendance 24 hours per day. The Yallinyu Wamu Residential Group Home located in Kalgoorlie can accommodate up to 10 young people at any time and ages can range from 0 to 17 years.

WHAT'S THE ROLE?
Residential Care Workers play an integral role within the Department, creating and maintaining a safe and caring environment.
This unique and exciting role exists for people interested in working in a challenging and diverse environment at our Yallinyu Wamu Home.

As the homes provide 24-hour care to the children and young people, shift work is required including weekends and evenings. Penalty rates may apply.

The recruitment process
This is an open pool recruitment process for casual, temporary and permanent opportunities. If you are deemed suitable, you will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when vacancies arise.
Recruitment processes will be run at least three times per year. The next recruitment process is scheduled to commence 6 April 2020 .
Any applications received after that date will be assessed in the next round of recruitment.
