Senior Manufacturing / QC Technician (6 month Fixed Term)

Reports to : Production Manager

Position Location : Newcastle

How you'll make an impact :

Work as part of a motivated team to manufacture products that are used in the process of drug manufacturing to improve the human condition and ultimately save lives.

What will you do?

Day-to-day production activities in conformance with specifications, standard operating procedures, and cGMP / ISO principles.

Assist in cleanroom operational activities including setup, dispensing and cleanroom monitoring with limited supervision.

Perform quality control testing on raw serum as required.

Perform In-process sampling, sterility testing, environmental monitoring and other testing as required to assure batches meet specification and our manufacturing process are in control.

Complete Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR’s), QC test sheets, ensuring that all information is accurate, legible and correct to guarantee traceability.

Communicate production issues and potential solutions to Production Supervisor as they arise.

Review and edit of manufacturing documentation including batch manufacturing records (BMR’s) and standard operating procedures (SOP’s).

Participate in investigations, projects and validation as required.

Ensure a safe and healthy workplace by adhering to policies and procedures and reporting hazards to ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment.

Acts as Subject Matter Expert within the team.

Solve moderate to complex problems within process guidelines and assists others to do the same.

Share your ideas for practical process improvement and utlise continuous improvement methodologies in daily work to advance quality, enhance customer allegiance and improve productivity.

How will you get here?

Science related qualification is desirable.

Extensive experience and understanding in either sterile filtration, sterile dispensing processes or both.

Qualified in cleanroom gowning and aseptic dispensing operations.

Experience in cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) or laboratory environment is essential.
