About the Role :

Reporting to the Business Systems Lead, the Business Systems Analyst makes it easy for our business units by providing front line support to Payroll Services and supporting in answering and resolving payroll related systems queries.

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring that payroll systems are configured accurately and running efficiently to achieve our obligations in paying our staff in a timely manner, in line with legislation, regulations and associated employment contractual documentation.

On a day to day basis, you will :

  • Support in managing GWF's multiple Payroll and time and attendance systems including ongoing configuration within Affinity and Kronos
  • Perform detailed reconciliations of GWF's legislative requirements including payroll tax, group tax, yearend payment summaries and workers compensation provisions
  • Develop, drive, recommend and implement best practices and continuous improvement with regards to existing systems and payroll
  • Manage GWF's superannuation fund provider ensuring all members' contributions are set-up accurately
  • Manage payment of all payroll associated deductions
  • Provide support on leave liability matters and provide the business with detailed explanations on movements.
  • Our Ideal candidate will have :

  • Proven finance / accounting experience
  • Demonstrated experience of maintaining payroll / T&A systems configuration
  • Proven experience identifying and deploying process improvements
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability with the capacity to provide insight and quickly identify ways forward when presented with issues
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
  • Advanced excel skills with experience in macro writing, spreadsheet modelling, database and reporting applications
  • Strong planning & time management skills
