About the team

  • The Coffs Harbour Bypass is one of the final pieces of the Pacific Highway upgrade to be completed. The bypass will transform the area, saving motorists travel time and remove 12,000 vehicles per day from the CBD and improving safety;
  • making Coffs Harbour a better place to live, work and visit.

    With a budget in excess of $1.5 billion, 3 tunnels, 17 bridges and 3 interchanges, this project provides the ability to be part of history and shape NSW’s road network.

    The opportunity

    There is a full time permanent opportunity available for a Project Manager / Engineer to join our team based in the Grafton or Coffs Harbour.

    Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities will include :

  • Providing efficient and effective project and contract management services
  • Develop and execute functional project briefs; community projects and stakeholder involvement plans; and procedures, guidelines, processes that promote best practice
  • Providing high-level support in program reviews, to ensure, variations, claims and extension are submitted on time.

    About You

    This role would suit someone with excellent communication, time management, stakeholder management and people management skills.

    You will have completed a Degree in Civil Engineering with experience in managing major infrastructure or other complex projects.

    You will have a broad range of technical knowledge, with the ability to think outside of the box when approaching problem solving aspects of the role.

    You will enjoy leading a team while mentoring and developing the members within the team. Proven experience in managing tendering procedures and overseeing professional and construction contractors is highly beneficial, as this will enable you to hit the ground running .

    Salary and Benefits

    The salary for this position is Grade Engineer Level 3 ($128,012 - $139,896), dependant on level of experience, per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
