About the role :
Several employment opportunities have become available for Works Supervisors to undertake the effective works management, coordination, compliance and supervision of all aspects of residential maintenance works conducted on Land & Housing Commission properties, including delivery of the contract KPI’s for timely , quality and safe works delivery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
Coordinate resources including both manpower and equipment to achieve contract objectives
Identification, supervision and day-to-day control of subcontractors, including performance monitoring and recommendations on work allocation
Communicate with staff and subcontractors to ensure that they are kept informed of any issues relating to contract performance and compliance
Ensure that work site instructions are followed including Risk Assessments, Job Analysis, Hazard Identification, and In Process Inspections
Ensure all works are being carried out as required by contract specification and appropriate standards / building codes
Coordinate delivery of projects to comply with and achieve the Key Performance Indicators of the contract.
Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
Carrying out all relevant tasks to achieve the requirements of the contract
Conduct and record inspections strictly in accordance with the schedule provided to ensure compliance to our quality plan
Key Skills and Qualifications :
Relevant experience in the building industry ie : building inspection, construction site management / inspection and / or quality inspection in the facilities management industry.
Relevant Trade Qualification
Qualified Supervisor Certificate (QSC) or Contractor Licence (desirable)
Current Driver’s License
Experience in managing contractors, sub-contractors and projects
Great organisational and time management skills
Proficient in IT systems / programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
This role does at times require travel to different regional offices and client properties. Also you must be able to be contacted 24 hours / 7 days, due to the nature of this role.
