Our Team & Opportunity

The past 18 months have seen significant transformation for Vanguard Australia in business strategy and in the discipline of Marketing.

A strategy to grow our direct to investor offering has seen the Personal Investor platform launched in 2020 and it was announced that Vanguard will develop a Superannuation offer to enter the market in 2021.

Vanguard also appointed its first Global Chief Marketing Officer and in Australia, Marketing is now a standalone function with a growth agenda to serve both our intermediary clients as well as direct to investors.

We have a newly created role as a Senior Performance Analyst who will utilise data & analytics to influence and impact our go to market strategies for our Superannuation offer.

Whilst this role is a part of a cross functional team, it leads our overall end to end optimisation of insights and analytics impact on our customer experience and business decision making in Superannuation.

What you will do

  • Lead the recommendation and delivery of end to end analytics solutions to drive customer experience and business outcomes.
  • These include creation and iteration of models (media mix, attribution, behavioural / segmentation), A / B testing, customer / business impact analysis procurement of external datasets, customer sentiment analysis and an evolution to introducing AI and analytics self service capabilities

  • Effective story telling of data and insights through strong visual design, production and overall synthesis of reporting to a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Application of governance and oversight in data preparation, logic, integrity and serve as customer data steward and analytics subject matter expert
  • Lead the design and documentation of business requirements for analytics solutions.
  • Exercise change leadership to uplift data literacy through implementation of people, process & technology initiatives
  • Deepen the capabilities of the Insights & Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE) by staying across industry trends, as well as partnering with US measurement teams to leverage and continually introduce analytics best practice to Vanguard Marketing.
  • What we are looking for

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field is desirable and any relevant post graduate qualifications would be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in a direct to consumer marketing analytics function, with superannuation or financial services experience highly regarded
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and highly cross functional team, experience working with agile methodologies would be well regarded
  • Strong technical skills across Adobe Analytics, CRM, data extraction and analytics, Tableau and marketing technology solutions.
  • Experience using Python, SQL or other programming languages for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Previous experience in synthesising and presenting insights to stakeholders.
