York and Northern Local Health Network are seeking Registered Nurses and Nurse / Midwives to work on a casual basis in various health services across the Yorke and Northern Region.
Offering flexibility and a great work life balance, you will provide direct person centred nursing / midwifery care and individual case management to age care consumers and patients on a shift by shift basis in a defined clinical area with increasing autonomy over time.

You will assess individual age care consumers and patient needs, plan, implement and coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options including other disciplines or agencies, as well as provide health promotion and education, to patients or groups and carers to improve the health outcomes of individual.
It is essential that you are registered as a Nurse or Nurse / Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold a current practising certificate.
You will bring prior experience and knowledge in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
Strong communication skills including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills are highly regarded. With experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritising workloads, you will be innovative and flexible upon approaching issues within a rural healthcare setting.
Your well developed organisation skills will enable you to work effectively under limited direction, and you will have the ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.
