Job Description :

Reporting to the Client Services Manager (CSM), the Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific eDiscovery projects ensuring consistency with Epiq’s strategy, commitments and goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert in eDiscovery processes (EDRM), workflows, software and tools
  • Primary client liaison for eDiscovery matters
  • Consultative approach with clients to provide best practice eDiscovery options to suit matter specific requirements
  • Develop and maintain robust and enduring client and internal relationships
  • Advise and assist with the drafting and implementation of Exchange protocols
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Tailor technology workflows to meet the requirements of an engagement
  • Plan and schedule project tasks, timelines, deliverables and resource requirements in collaboration with the client
  • Undertake quality assurance for deliverables
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the engagement to all stakeholders and initiate changes where required to achieve stated project outcomes
  • Ensure CSM is kept updated on client and internal matters and issues are escalated in a timely manner
  • Train clients on review tools
  • Work collaboratively and proactively with global teams on engagements and internal projects as required
  • Identify, initiate and undertake process improvement activities
  • Delegation and follow-up of tasks to Associate Project Managers (APMs)
  • Act as a role model and provide direction, support, guidance and feedback to APMs
  • Manage engagement budget and WIP
  • Assist with client invoicing
  • Complete weekly timesheets by COB Friday, including appropriate descriptions for tasks undertaken
  • Update weekly report template by 10am Friday with key tasks and activities undertaken for the week

  • Bachelor degree in Law, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or equivalent
  • M i n i mum Experience

  • Solid experience in similar role at a law firm, professional services firm or bureau (5 years +)
  • Excellent understanding of eDiscovery frameworks (EDRM), protocols, workflows and best practices
  • Background using eDiscovery review tools (eg : Relativity, Ringtail, Everlaw)
  • Experience working with client stakeholders and senior management (local and global)
  • Certifications

  • Everlaw Certification
  • Relativity Certified User (RCU)
  • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA)
  • Additional requirements

  • Extended working hours may be required on occasions to accommodate client requests, including weekend work
  • May require travel to domestic and / or international locations at short notice
