Position Summary This position is part of a team of specialised sales managers whose focus is on selling Commercial Cards solutions to the two main client groups in Australia and New Zealand Multinationals who do business in Australia and New Zealand and Top Tier Local Corporates who operate both locally and abroad.

The successful applicant needs to possess strong interpersonal skills, professional maturity, extensive commercial cards related experience, profound knowledge of working capital and B2B procurement cards solutions, and a good understanding of the overall transaction services business.

The successful applicant will also be expected to build strong relationships with key customer contacts, proactively source and close new opportunities and provide the coverage organization with a dynamic partnership that will facilitate our business goals in this market segment.

The job is challenging and should be viewed as a significant career opportunity. There will be strong support from the TTS Cards Head to ensure that the successful applicant transitions smoothly into this role. Key Accountabilities

  • Originate and close new commercial cards deals from the designated target market segments
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with key clients and bring to them thought leadership that deepens their existing relationship with Citi
  • Build a strong working partnership with the Institutional Clients Group (ICG) coverage team and TTS solution sales team
  • Liaise with regional commercial cards sales team to ensure seamless coordination on regional deals
  • Work effectively with internal business partners including Product, Implementation, and Service
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Tertiary qualifications are not essential but are desirable for this role
  • Extensive commercial cards related experience is considered essential
  • Thorough understanding of commercial cards products and their applicability to large and sophisticated clients’ requirements for T&E and Procurement
  • Ability to effectively define and present appropriate cards solutions to clients
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with target clients and to serve as a trusted advisor in regards to commercial cards and working capital solution
  • Exposure to corporate banking as many solutions will form part of a larger corporate banking relationship / strategy for Citi
  • Excellent understanding the of the Australian marketplace
  • Deep industry knowledge including schemes and cards ecosystems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactive follow up and result driven
  • Competent in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Well rounded sales skills
  • Frequent travel interstate and to New Zealand is required
