Work Practice

  • To assist as directed in all aspects of the Food Services Area.
  • Perform work thoroughly and effectively
  • To implement hospital policies and procedures
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene and infection control practices
  • Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures
  • Carry out duties as direct by the Food Services Coordinator or delegate as indicated on the roster.
  • Maintain patient privacy and dignity at all times
  • Maintain good communication with colleagues.
  • Maintain good communication within the service area, utilising effective communication skills.
  • Participate in team building within the service area and within the hospital
  • Demonstrate effective communication both orally and written
  • TASKS REQUIRED

  • WASHING POTS ,PAN & UTENSILS
  • CLEANING DINING ROOM.
  • CLEANING KITCHEN.
  • CLEANING KITCHEN EQUIPMENT.
  • STORAGE OF PERISHABLE FOODS.
  • STORAGE OF NON-PERISHABLE FOODS.
  • PREPARING CUTLERY
  • SET UP FOR FUNCTIONS
  • SERVE FUNCTIONS
  • SERVE MEALS
  • CLEARING TABLES
  • LOCK UP PROCEDURE
  • PREPARE DINING ROOM FOR PATIENTS AND STAFF
  • FOLLOW DUTY STATEMENTS
