The role

will be focused on growing our existing team and capabilities in the sector, while consolidating and improving processes and delivering high levels of growth.

Services including feasibility studies, conceptual design, tendering and construction and commissioning management.

Responsibilities include :

Delivery

Manage the delivery of Owners Engineer projects in Australia and support the wider Asian Pacific region

Advise on project execution globally

Build links with our internal resources, achieving a balance of recruitment and co-operation

Lead the recruitment, development and coordination of our Owner’s Engineering team

Proficiency in proposal and report writing, ensuring delivery of quality reports produced in English

Coordinate the production of proposals and win new work

Coordination

Project manage and project direct large and / or complex owner’s engineering assignments

Contribute to growth, taking on new responsibilities in markets or sectors and supporting the smooth running of the team.

Collaborate with the wider teams across the Group, including technical head, country heads, and service leads

Play an active role in the development of the renewable energy business and teams in Australia

Good inter-personal and conflict resolution skills with an ability to lead, persuade and coordinate a variety of stakeholders with integrity

Setting the standard

Improving template documentation and processes to ensure quality of delivery

Co-operating with the wider group to ensure quality of standards worldwide

Developing in-house tools for delivering and managing work effectively

Establishing guidelines for consultants to follow and training them to achieve a consistent approach / output

Ability to offer definitive advice on project execution issues based on knowledge, experience and sound judgement

Strong focus on quality and safety

World-class expertise in a specific aspect of renewable energy technology or application would be an advantage

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering required, post graduate qualification in related subject advantageous

Strong experience in the design and construction of utility scale renewable energy assets with a minimum of 5 years and preferably 10 years’ career experience

Past experience in a senior Owners Engineering role at a consultancy preferred

Strong knowledge of at least one of : wind; solar; storage, and demonstrable knowledge of at least one other of these technologies

On-site experience, previous work as a contractor desirable

Chartered or Professional Engineer status, RPEQ preferable

Demonstrated aptitude in consulting / managing clients / service delivery;

Proven Project Management skills with the demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and execute efficiently within a demanding environment

Good knowledge of relevant Australian and international technical standards and working practices

Ability to communicate and report on project issues, summarising key results and impacts for non-technical audiences

Qualification and experience as an electrical engineer, including with HV grid connections, would be highly regarded
