Receptionist / Assistant in Nursing

  • Part time position - 32 hours per week

    The Opportunity

    We currently have a part time opportunity available for a Receptionist / Assistant in Nursing for a maternity leave cover.

    The purpose of this role is to provide a high standard of customer service to patients / visitors / staff and doctors who come to or work in St Vincent’s Clinic.

    As patients / visitors are often elderly and immobile, this role will provide some clinical assistance around health screening, immobile patients / visitors as needed and to work with on-call teams in case of first aid or other medical emergencies.

    The duties include but are not limited to :

  • Provide high standard customer service to patients, visitors, staff and doctors
  • Provide efficient and professional reception services including : dealing with enquiries via telephone and in person receiving, welcoming and directing patients and visitors
  • Provide clinical assistance around health screening screening / immobile patients
  • Assisting with mail outs
  • Monitoriing and reporting facility issues
  • Assisting with ad hoc administration requests.
  • The successful candidate will possess :

  • TAFE Certificate III in Acute Care OR engaged in 2nd year of university nursing studies OR overseas qualification as a Registered Nurse (not yet registered with AHPRA).
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills
  • Experience working within an acute health care clinical setting.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • High-level computer literacy
