Project & Development Services (PDS) transform the spaces where people live, work and play. From undeveloped land to major fit outs and refurbishments, we partner with investors, owners and occupiers to deliver projects that range from single one-off tasks to those far more complex, with multiple local and regional sites.

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for all site-based activities throughout the construction and defect phases including the management of safety, environmental, programme commitments, quality, materials handling and overall site coordination activities.

Responsibilities include :

  • Contract Administration.
  • Site Safety in accordance with JLL's accredited (AS 4801) Safety System and legislative requirements.
  • Environmental Management in accordance with JLL's systems and legislative requirements.
  • Meeting programmed dates for all Construction and Defect rectification stages of the project.
  • Quality of the final product produced by trade contractors.
  • Manage the coordination of all site activities including materials handling, trade contractors and suppliers.
  • Assist project team in analysing buildability issues in respect of design development.
  • Delivery of projects on time and on budget
  • Improved project profitability from start to finish
  • Management of Trades to ensure high quality, timely and financially favourable outcomes
  • Repeat clients because of your relationship and quality of work.

    The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification in a building or construction related discipline, at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role and 10 years industry experience.

    Commercial fit-out experience is essential. Additional experience working on hotels, industrial or residential projects would be highly beneficial.

    You’ll display the following skills and experience :

  • Detailed understanding of all Environmental Health and Safety Legislation and be confident in meeting obligations expected of a Site Manager.
  • Be able to critically review project drawings for buildability of the documented design.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software programmes including Outlook, Excel, Word and Sharepoint.
  • Ability to produce a detailed construction program using Microsoft Project. (Preferable but not essential)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all members of a project team.
  • Have a detailed understanding of Industrial Relations obligations and rights as they relate to construction sites.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage a site workforce in excess of 30 workers.
  • NOTE :

    The appointment will initially be a six-month contract with an opportunity to extend.
